Behind the Walls of Sleep, for any keyboard instrument and six music boxes

A keyboard soloist starts by winding a single music box, and playing a lyrical arhythmic solo while 5 unnamed assistants wind and hold additional music boxes from the audience. The work concludes with the performer sitting onstage listening to the whirlwind of twinkling toys slowly die away. This is Brett William Dietz playing the studio and live premieres.
