Stanley Leonard: Reunion (2012)
Featuring the percussion ensemble music of the timpani legend himself, Stanley Leonard is calling in percussion greats past and present for this upcoming album on his own label. With Brett Dietz, Hamiruge (the Louisiana State University Percussion Group), and Tempus Fugit Percussion Ensemble at the helm, this disc is sure to well represent the writing that helped coin the early genre of "percussion ensemble music". Especially for this release, the iconic percussionist composer has scored a brand new work, Voices, for Tempus Fugit and Hamiruge. Keep an ear out for the album-drop in the Spring of 2012.
